وَلْد صلح (Waladan Salihah)

For the first time I would like to begin my case by saying that we, as human being even men or women, were born from our mother. And this process runs for each of baby and a couple that has made love, naturally. As far as I know that there are two human beings that did not through this process. I mind here is, person who was not born from a couple. They are Adam and Isa Prophet (peace be upon him). I think, I should not talk to you the biological process of fetus and then to become baby but I would like to talk you much more on the son or daughter and his/her deed itself.

I believe that we have father and mother and both of them, maybe, have shared us education, knowledge, experiences and so on. And that is the obligation to their children. Education (the process of teaching or learning in a school or college, or the knowledge that you get from this, Cambridge Dictionary) here means that everything that has given to someone directly and indirectly. One of examples on direct obligation in education is by sending to us school to study, by this way, the parents believe that they have served and treated their main obligation to their children. Directly, for example, we communicate or socialize and see, sometimes, the parents doing something and/or without saying or suggestion from them. The children, maybe, only see and there is not question. This process could happen for along time.

In the other side, there is an image among parent who has children believed that when they send their son and daughter to school to study means that all obligations to educate their son and daughter have finished so that they feel there is no responsibility anymore for them. Even though not all parent do like that. Some parents do care and responsibility to their son and daughter. They worry with their future so they are sincerely to “sacrifice” everything for them. And I think this is a responsible parent.

Furthermore, the case I do want to emphasize in this article is a hadith source from Imam Muslim :

اذمات انسان انقطع عمله الا من ثلاث عملا صلح وعلم ينتفع به ولد صلح يدع له

If a human being has died, it must have been discontinuous his/her reward except there are three rewards; noble deeds, beneficial (positive) knowledge and virtuous son/daughter and pray for them.

I would like to emphasize here in the last sentence “virtuous son/daughter and pray for them”. The question is who are “them” here? Are they their parents or other people? Because, according to the hadith “them” is a people who have make her/his virtuous/pious and I think many people have given to them contribution to be come virtuous and it could be their parents and other people. Because his/her obligation to pray is to people who have make them virtuous. يدع له. means  ضمر ه يدل الى who ever has given them knowledge and becomes virtuous. And  ضمر ه is not refers to parents only. Except the hadits mentions

يد ع لها it means that ضمر (لها) refers to mother and father and not to other people.

Furthermore, there is a verse in Al-quran treatises of parent obligation to their son/daughter and obligation of a son/daughter to communicate and socialize to their parents politely and obedient such as is Al-Aluqman :

وَصَاحِبْهُمَا فِي الدُّنْيَا مَعْرُوفًا {لقمان/15}. But this verses talks about our deed to the parents since their life and I talk in this article when the people who have made them virtuous have died.

So that my conclusion in this article about يدع له. is whoever people who have make a person becomes virtuous means for them they will pray and this reward always continuously even they have died.
